February Meeting Reminder 2010

Just a quick reminder about the NBARC February meeting to be held Wednesday February 10th at 1930ET at the fire hall on base.
Bill VA3SPT has a couple of events that he will be updating us on.
Paul and/or Bruce VA3BDR will be updating us on the state of our incorporation
If you have checked into the web site recently you will know that Paul VA3PC, after much pain and suffering, finally got his APRS I-Gate working and it is working well. He will fill in a few of the details.
There will be the usual reports as well.

Well after a few frustrating days, its off and crawling (my forehead may take a week to recover).
I finally tracked down the last bit of info I needed to implement the software.
The TNC now resides on the echoIRLP box connected to the serial port.
I've temporarily used my top VHF antenna until I can get a side mount installed in the spring.
The I-Gate software is java based - javAPRSSrvr written by Pete AE5PL.

The interesting stuff is near the bottom - it shows the number of stations heard locally on RF.

DRAFT CONSTITUTION, BY-LAWS and Memorandum of Association v8 2010-Jan

The attachments consist of the documents and updates as discussed in Wednesday's meeting:
1> Memorandum of Association - to be filed with the incorporation papers to the Ont. government
2> Constitution and By-Laws - are an internal document that govern the operation of the club.

If you print both parts it runs to about 20 pages.

The North Bay Amateur Radio Club (NBARC) is a non-profit organization whose objective is to promote Amateur Radio in the city and surrounding area, provide communications for local organizations, and when requested - to provide emergency communication. As well, it provides a place for like minded people to get together to discuss the common topic.....amateur radio.
Our regular meetings (ex. July and August) are held the second Wednesday of the month @ 19:30L usually in the training room at the North Bay Airport Firehall.
